What this site collects, what we do with it, and what we do not do.

Ajay Glass & Mirror Co., Inc. (“Ajay Glass,” “we,” “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect when you use it, how we use that information, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Information you send us. When you use the Send a Bid Package form we receive what you type into it — your name, company, email address, phone number, project details, any notes, links you paste, and any files you attach (drawings, specifications, addenda and similar documents). We keep this so that our estimating and engineering groups can respond to you and, if the project goes ahead, so that we have a record of what was sent.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard technical information about visits: IP address, browser type, the pages viewed and the time of the visit. We also use Jetpack (by Automattic) for aggregate site statistics, which uses a cookie to tell repeat visits from new ones. These statistics tell us which pages are read; they are not used to identify you or to advertise to you.
Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser sends Google a request that includes your IP address. Google’s handling of that request is described in Google’s privacy policy.
To respond to bid requests, design-assist and fabrication inquiries; to prepare estimates, calculations and proposals; to keep records of projects we bid or perform; to operate, secure and improve the website; and to meet legal and contractual obligations. Bid documents you send us are treated as confidential to the project and are shared only with the people at Ajay Glass, and the suppliers and subcontractors, who need them to price or perform the work.
Service providers that host and run this site and our email (our web host, WordPress/Jetpack and Microsoft 365) process information on our behalf and under their own security commitments. Beyond that, we share information only when a project requires it, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
Bid packages and the correspondence around them are kept for as long as we keep project records, which for construction work is typically the life of the project plus the applicable statute-of-limitations period. Website statistics are kept in aggregate form. If you would like the documents from a bid you sent us deleted sooner, ask and we will do so unless we are required to keep them.
The site sets a small number of cookies: one from Jetpack for statistics, and standard WordPress cookies when someone signs in to administer the site. Your browser lets you refuse or delete cookies; the public pages of this site work without them.
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send through the form is encrypted in transit. Uploaded files are stored on our web host in a location that is not listed or indexed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so if you prefer, you may always send documents to us through your own plan room or file-sharing service and paste the link into the form instead.
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our record-keeping obligations. Residents of states with consumer-privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; we honor them regardless of where you live. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
This site is for businesses and design professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
